Was invited by my buddy Calven for a portrait photo shooting session at Full House restaurant along Jalan Yap Kwan Seng. I’ve admired the facade of the restaurant when I passed it by a couple of times before. The restaurant building is a 2-storey bungalow and is nicely done up with white being the predominant theme colour in almost all its furnishings. The decor is very photography friendly as it’s possible to bounce the light from virtually anywhere without worry of colour casts. The restaurant exudes an aura of trendy & cozy and I think it’s portrayed well in the models’ expressions!

I’ve always wanted to go to Bangkok but never had the chance to do so until one day when I was chatting with a buddy of mine and we both spontaneously mentioned to go there! Just like that, we booked our plane tickets and accommodation to Bangkok, Thailand – home to yummy-licious tom yum kung! It was a fun adventure for the both of us as we zipped through the city’s infamous traffic jams in Tuk-Tuks and combed around for excellent bargains everywhere.

We were there in the Land of Smiles in January and it surprised me pleasantly to see that the Christmas spirit and atmosphere was still going strong. The streets and malls were still nicely decked out in yuletide deco.

I do wish to make another trip back to Bangkok because I did not get a chance to see the Floating Market. It is a traditional form of trading food and produce on boats in the river that is almost lost in time to modernization. This is something that has intrigued me for a while now and I really wish to immortalize such a wonderful tradition in my photos. Bangkok… I will see you again, hopefully some time soon!

Sydney is indeed a beautiful city. During the day, the city is buzzing with the hustle and bustle of vehicular traffic and the city folk who converge to propel the economy to greater heights. When night falls, the city is still very much alive with inspiring lights around the city giving the CBD a magnificent radiance.

On the other side of the spectrum, only a two-hour train ride from the CBD, the Blue Mountains is equally jaw-dropping in all its natural grandeur. From the many beautiful waterfalls and streams to the formations of the mountains and cliffs, the Blue Mountains is a place that will transport you to another realm where the magnificence of nature pulls you in like a huge magnet and makes you reluctant to return to the city.

Bondi and Manly are two small towns that are dotted with surfers in the water all year round. Nicely bundled up in my jacket, it was a pretty chilly day when I took a walk on those sandy beaches; but yet, I witnessed many surfers paddling and surfing in the sea, unperturbed by the weather. As the day warmed up, the beach saw many more folks coming out to have fun in the sun, sand, and surf.
