Bangkok

in: Travel

I’ve always wanted to go to Bangkok but never had the chance to do so until one day when I was chatting with a buddy of mine and we both spontaneously mentioned to go there! Just like that, we booked our plane tickets and accommodation to Bangkok, Thailand – home to yummy-licious tom yum kung! It was a fun adventure for the both of us as we zipped through the city’s infamous traffic jams in Tuk-Tuks and combed around for excellent bargains everywhere.

We were there in the Land of Smiles in January and it surprised me pleasantly to see that the Christmas spirit and atmosphere was still going strong. The streets and malls were still nicely decked out in yuletide deco.

I do wish to make another trip back to Bangkok because I did not get a chance to see the Floating Market. It is a traditional form of trading food and produce on boats in the river that is almost lost in time to modernization. This is something that has intrigued me for a while now and I really wish to immortalize such a wonderful tradition in my photos. Bangkok… I will see you again, hopefully some time soon! :)
